Roadtrip Western Australia

What is more Australian than Kangaroos and Koalas? Well, probably a roadtrip with a campervan. The day we arrived in Perth we rented a fantastic "Hippie Camper" which was much better than the name suggests. For almost a week this van was our car, kitchen and bed and allowed us to travel 2000km along the western coast of Australia. Starting in Perth where Carolin took her first flight lesson (a farewell present from her former collegues) and after visiting the beautiful town of Fremantle we headed north to Port Gregory where we visited the pink lake. As the weather was rather bad and the greatest sights on the northern part where too far away, we returned back south stopping in Cervantes where we visited the "Pinnacles". After that we drove straight through to Bunbury, Busselton (kown for its 2km jetty which is the longest on the Southern Hemisphere) and Cape Naturaliste which is famous for its incredible beaches and natural parks where you can easily spot whales which migrate to the southern and cooler waters of Antarctica. Another night sleeping in a national park and from there on to Margaret River wine region where more than hundreds of wineries compete to produce some of Australias best wines.
