Parque Nacional Los Glaciares (Perito Moreno, Mount Fitz Roy & Cerro Torre)

This national park is located in Patagonian's Santa Cruz province and was declared an UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981. We started off with our visit of the national park in El Calafate, a town located on the shore of Lago Argentino. From there we made a day-trip to the world famous "Perito Moreno" glacier. It was amazing to witness how huge chunks of ice broke off the glacier, clashing into the crystal blue waters of Lago Argentino. From El Calafate we continued our trip to El Chaltén, a charming mountain village popular amongst hikers and climbers. During our stay in El Chaltén we made excursions to the foot of Mount Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre.
